Underwater acoustic sensor networks (UASNs) have attracted great attention in recent years and utilizes as a part of oceanic applications. This network has to deal with propagation delay, energy constraints limited bandwidth which are strenuous for designing Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol underwater communication. There also exists an idle channel listening overhearing problem sets down the into starvation contention-based MAC protocols. Alternatively, lengthy time slots synchronization equated by schedule-based protocols, outcomes variable transmission delay degrades performances. To iron out these problems, we propose cluster-based protocol, tagged Multilevel Scheduling (MLS-MAC) UASN paper. The cluster head is decision maker packet aids inflate lifetime nodes. reinforce efficiency, multilevel scheduling data phase initiated two queues depending on applications fixed head. simulation result shows that MLS-MAC increased throughput decreased consumption.
